David Ball, PhD.

Dr. Ball is a world-renowned laboratory director who has joined the outstanding SRM team in the summer of 2007. After completing training in reproductive physiology, Dr. Ball began his career in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) as an assistant professor at the Mayo Medical School in 1983. His activities encompassed clinical ART, fertility diagnostic testing, and basic research. After 10 years, Dr. Ball entered the private practice sector where he has simultaneously directed multiple laboratories across the country. While entrenched in the Midwest, Dr. Ball found the opportunity in Seattle too good to pass up and has made the move to the Pacific Northwest.

Renowned in the ART world as one of the few lab directors with decades of experience, Dr. Ball serves currently as a prominent figure in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (SART) - reproductive medicine’s governing society. At SART, Dr. Ball chairs the Validation Committee, is a member of the Executive Council and Quality Assurance Committee, and serves on the Abstract Committee. Also, Dr. Ball serves as an inspector for The College of American Pathologists, and as an ad-hoc editorial reviewer for Fertility and Sterility (leading literature in reproductive medicine) among his many duties besides Lab Director of SRM laboratory. He currently serves as off-site lab director for several practices all over the country, sharing his expertise and knowledge. He is currently a member of The American Society for Reproductive Medicine and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, leading organizations in the field of reproductive medicine.

The following is a small sample of the multiple publications he has produced over his distinguished career, as well as multiple abstract submissions too many to list.
