Male Factor Infertility
Infertility is often treated as a female problem however thirty percent of couples experience infertility related to a male factor, either alone or in combination with a coexisting female factor. The good news is there are medical interventions available to assist men with even the most severe cases, and for most couples the interventions are relatively simple.
Since our inception SRM's goal has been to provide comprehensive fertility services for our patients. That's why we perform onsite lab work, onsite diagnostic testing and even many surgical procedures are performed onsite at our accredited surgery center. SRM is one of a handful of fertility centers that also offers male factor infertility specialist consults onsite. In addition, our male factor experts can perform even the most advanced surgical sperm retrievals in our surgery center.
We are even more pleased that the two board-certified Urologists available for consult with our patients are two of the leading experts not just locally, but nationally. Dr.'s McClure and Walsh have both been active in research related to male factor infertility. Dr. Walsh continues in academic medicine at the University of Washington and Dr. Mclure serves as president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Patients are encouraged to initiate treatment with a SRM physician for a comprehensive evaluation and subsequent consult with one of our two urologists, but individuals with known male factor diagnosis may also schedule directly.
